Cara Lopez Lee is the author of the memoir They Only Eat Their Husbands (Conundrum Press, 2014). Her stories have appeared in The Los Angeles Times, Denver Post, Rivet Journal, and Connotation Press. She’s a book editor and writing coach. She teaches for the youth program at Lighthouse Writers Workshop. She was a TV journalist, and a writer for HGTV and Food Network. She has traveled throughout Asia, Europe, Africa, Latin America, and the U.S. She married her husband at a volcano in Costa Rica. She did not eat him, and he did not throw her in. They live in Denver.
Alexander Lumans was the Spring 2014 Philip Roth Resident at Bucknell University. He has been awarded fellowships to the Arctic Circle, MacDowell, Yaddo, VCCA, Blue Mountain Center, ART342, Norton Island, RopeWalk, Sewanee and Bread Loaf. He received the 2013 Gulf Coast Fiction Prize. His fiction has appeared in or is forthcoming from West Branch, TriQuarterly, Story Quarterly, Bat City Review, Blackbird, Cincinnati Review, and The Normal School, among others. He is Co-Editor of the anthology Apocalypse Now: Poems and Prose from the End of Days. He graduated from the M.F.A. Fiction Program at Southern Illinois University Carbondale.
