She lives in a fumeous, vaporish, ivy-festered grotto where she serves as Pythoness to Blink Ink Print and Haruspex for Shining Mountains Press.
Featuring Gay Degani! Gay Degani began writing in the fifth grade and placed second in the Atlantic Monthly Writing Contest for High School Students when she was a high school senior. She followed this surprising honor with a twenty-five-year hiatus from her typewriter, turning her attention to college, career, and family. With the help of a computer, she began again in 1999. Her short stories have been published online and in print. Three have been nominated for Pushcart consideration, and others have placed first or been recognized in competitions. Her suspense novel, What Came Before, was published in 2014, preceded an eight-story collection, Pomegranate, in 2010. She is the founder and editor emeritus at Flash Fiction Chronicles, an editor at Smokelong Quarterly, and blogs at Words in Place.
